1994 principal lecturer for politics and history and from 1996 to 2004 director of the Evangelical Academy Thuringia

1999 chairman of the Society for Thuringian Church History, chairman of the “Chamber for Work and Business of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Thuringia” and member of the advisory board of the “Foundation for the Re-assessment of the East German dictatorship” (Berlin)

2005 Church Councillor and representative of the Evangelical Churches to the State Parliament and Government of Thuringia, author and publisher of numerous publications on church history and on church contemporary history as well as on theological and political topics.

February 2009 chairman of the “Supporters Association of the Chapter of St Peter & St Paul (CPP)

2010 Senior Church Councillor (Oberkirchenrat)
