The International Martin Luther Foundation's LutherRose for social responsibility and EntrepreneurialCourage
With the award "Luther Rose for social responsibility and Entrepreneurial Courage" the International Martin Luther Foundation honours individuals from the world of business, who through their private life and professional activities have used the reformatory traditions of freedom and responsibility for the common good.
Women and men, young and old, who demonstrate courage and creativity, determination and frankness, readiness to take on risks and face responsibility, and who live according to Christian values, are eligible for this prize.
The LutherRose is evocative of the significance of the Reformatory-Lutheran spirit for the formation of a free, social and modern society and economy.
By choosing international examples of such personalities the foundation supports social, business, theological and social-ethical research and teaching as well as a value-orientated business practice. These examples correspond to the concerns of Martin Luther: to allow freedom to flow into responsible business practices.
The foundation intends to make a recogniseable contribution to the preservation and actualization of Luther's heritage.
