LutherConference 2022
The Luther Conference 2022 took place in the Dutch metropolis and harbour city of Rotterdam.
The correspondence between the two humanists Erasmus of Rotterdam and Martin Luther, which began in 1519, formed the historical starting point for the current discussion in Erasmus' home city on the topic of "Free trade and free will? Erasmus, Luther and current economic challenges".
EU Commissioner for Competition Margrethe Vestager was honoured with the LutherRose 2022 at the ceremony. Peter Skov-Jakobsen, Bishop of Copenhagen, honoured the awardee in his laudatory speech.
Former Dutch Prime Minister Prof. Jan Peter Balkenende gave the keynote speech.
