Think not that I am sent to bring peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.
One of the tasks of the foundation is to organise conferences that promote an international debate about values in the social-market economy between representatives and groups from business, church and politics as well as assisting co-operation between these groups
Luther always understood that belief and common sense go hand in hand. For this reason the Lutheran contribution to the debate should be to encourage the avoidance of political, economic or ecclesiastical exteme positions, to keep the discussion objective and to give the general public the understanding of a freedom constained by values and society.
Following the LutherConference there is the award ceremony for the “LutherRose for social responsibility and EntrepreneurialCourage”
